Simple and Sustainable Wedding at JM Cellars, Woodinville
When your focus of your wedding day isn’t really the flowers, but the food, we get it!!! Tatiana and Brittany wanted their guests to enjoy their reception with many different grazing tables, so we kept their flower design pretty simple. They also wanted to keep sustainability in mind. And what better way to do that than with potted plants.
The bocci court at JM Cellars is surrounded by trees, ferns and bushes that make you feel like you are deep in the woods. We added different sizes of potted ferns and lavendar to the aisle entrance along with a pop of flowers in a ground arrangement. They stood under the large arbor that we had designed a corner floral piece. A mix of shades of purple with soft pinks, plums and texture, lots of texture. A modern touch of metal stands with more different sized potted ferns and lavender with another ground floral to coordinate with the aisle entrance. We loved how simple this ceremony design turned out, but still so stunning.
Cocktail tables brought more texture in an Ikebana style design. And a little bit of color in the florals. Using in-season, local blooms. The tables all had different sized terracotta pots with lush ferns and lavender which brought shades of green to the centerpieces. These went so perfectly with the deep plum linens. Long tables had the addition of tapper candles in a neutral tone.
Since their guests were to enjoy different grazing boards and a more laid back feel to the reception, there were a few tables inside that carried the same design. The terra cotta pots looked so good against the deep plum linens but also on the wood tables.
We love that the ladies wore amazing non-traditional pant suit and dress. They were gorgeous!
We are so lucky to have been a part of this beautiful day. We love designs like this that are not over the top, but still so unique and really in line with the couple and what is important to them. Guests were able to walk away with the potted ferns and lavender to remember all the love that went into this day. This design will always be a favorite because of the simplicity and intent.
