Hawaiian inspired vow renewal at Within Sodo, Seattle

Lauren & Marc live in New York and had an East Coast wedding before deciding to bring a celebration to the West Coast. They had so many members of their family and other friends that weren’t able to make it to NYC to their wedding, they thought let’s do a vow renewal on the West Coast! Marc is originally from Seattle and has family here along with the beautiful Hawaii. So bringing that Hawaiian touch and theme to their vow renewal was first on design list. And what a better backdrop then the Seattle skyline from the amazing rooftop at Within Sodo.

Our favorite element for the simple ceremony was the tropical flower columns. Large monsteras, palms and anthirium leaves framed the happy couple along with the city in the back ground. Pops of shades of pink flowers were tucked within the deep greenery. It was so lush and looked like they were climbing out of the ground! It was a beautiful summer day so we kept it out in the open on the deck for their guests to enjoy.

Lauren’s bouquet was really simple with a modern touch. Different tropical leaves paired with NW ferns and a splash of white orchids and the softest coral anthirium. It matched perfectly with her fun dress and Marc’s amazing suit jacket!

There is so much about their floral design that we loved. Knowing they weren’t having the traditional sit down dinner, she went with different seating and conversation options with large tables, along with multiple sized cocktail tables. A full and lush arrangement sat on the tables to add a pop of color with shades of yellow and pinks. The other tables had different single leaves submerged in vases. Suck a unique look that ended up being a real statement.

A really fun element that Lauren thought of to give it a real party vibe was her pooler! A kiddy pool turned into a cooler for guest to get a refreshment on the hot summer day. We decked it out with lush ground florals. We love this and want to have this at all our events!

When we say that Lauren & Marc wanted to have a fun, laid back and great time for themselves and their guests, they really mean that! For starters, they rented a bunch of different old school video games! My favorite that I think every event should have, a photobooth! And the main attraction, a bouncy house!! Yes…a bouncy house that fit inside their venue! They had a lot of kids coming to celebrate so they really wanted to keep them busy and what a better way than games and a bouncy house!

The design for the downstairs was kept simple. Potted plants to keep the focus on the food, games and fun!
