A Lovely Day In May

Golden Gardens Bathhouse is really a great venue.  The building itself is gorgeous and you can do so many different styles there.  You have the beach and the Puget Sound as well as an open field with trees to give you the woodsy feel.  Stephanie & Trevor took advantage of all of these elements.  They wanted their flowers to be soft and romantic but simple.  They collected different vases and bottles for the centerpieces and family members cut the wood chargers for the vases to cluster on.  Steph had so many DIY decor and I can't believe she did all of this from North Carolina!  They are both Med students there.  From the paper flower arch for the ceremony to the hanging paper crane back drop they walked through at the start of the aisle just to name a few.  The flowers had a soft northwest feel to them...I used the biggest peonies I've seen! They started off the day with a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony, I love that she took pictures in her outfit...she just looked stunning!  The gorgeous sunny day all came together so beautifully with Syndey Fee and her team from Your Day Your Way Event Planning.  These beautiful photos from Kimberly Kay Photography.  So happy to be a part of the gorgeous day.

They made a teal ombre paper crane curtain...it was so gorgeous.  They had it at the beginning of the aisle at the ceremony and then moved it behind the sweetheart table.

Elegant Gray & Fuchsia

It's always nice to meet a couple that knows what they like and want for their flowers, but are totally trusting of my creative eye.  It makes this process that can sometimes be stressful so much fun.  Edelyn & Pepsi were really open to ideas, but she knew she wanted a certain look for her bouquet.  Her favorite dark fuschia peonies with gray dusty miller accents.  Their ceremony and reception was held at the Meridian Valley Country Club.  With an overcast, but warm Spring day their friends and family gathered to see this gorgeous view and adorable couple say "I Do".

Love the light gray suit that Pepsi wore, and Edelyn was stunning!!!

Some of the tables had tall, large arrangements in shades of pink while the long tables had a low arrangement along with the vase trios of white orchids from the ceremony aisle decor.  The gray linens made the pink just pop out.  And I always love doing different centerpieces to add interest to the room.

The cake ended up being Edelyn's favorite part of the decor.  I went with what she wanted, flowing flowers from top to bottom...and then some!  It came out amazing.

Such an amazing day for this couple and I was so happy to be a part of it.

Nothing But Tulips!

Gary & Mark had an intimate ceremony and reception with friends and family at The Landing at Northcut.  Gary had one request...to do the centerpieces with all tulips.  I was so excited to gather the different styles and types of tulips.  Gary & Mark's friends and family were so amazing!  They helped me set up, I think it was my fastest set up so far!  You could really feel how excited everyone was for the wedding.

French, Parrot, Peony, and Double Tulips in shades of pink, purple and white...LOVE!!!
