One of my favorite venues is Kiana Lodge. I think it is because you can get on a ferry to get there and you feel like it is a far away destination for your friends and family to gather. It has the best of both worlds that the Pacific Northwest has to offer, the woods and the sea. It is nestled under tall trees that make you feel like you are secluded in the mountains. It is also right on the water. You can walk the beach, listen to the waves and relax. The garden area is perfect for an outdoor ceremony. Or if you choose the winter like Bonnee & Abhi did, you can have your ceremony in garden atrium. One of my favorite details of the atrium is the hanging lanterns, stars that float over your guest tables. This is such a great room.
Bonnee & Abhi live in Las Vegas. They decided to have a destination here in Washington to get married around the gorgeous trees that our state offers. They picked a perfect place! They wanted a design that played off of the Pacific Northwest and woodsy vibe. Their wedding was intimate, so on the tables we used wood slices and tall lanterns with flowers flowing out of it. She loved the combo of moody burgundy with soft blush and splashes of white. Dark greenery of salal and fern helped the flowers stand out. Bonee decided to have hair flowers. Instead of a crown, she went with blooms that hugged the back of her hair that her veil could hang from. I love how it turned out.
I love that this couple wanted to come here for their wedding because of how beautiful it is here. And they really got the best of both worlds with choosing the Kiana Lodge.
