Come to the Desert at I Do Sodo.

I started the year off right with an amazing wedding show in the Sodo district of Seattle. I Do Sodo is a wedding tour where each of the 8 venues has it’s own vendors to set up mock weddings with a theme of their choice. I was at Within Sodo, one of my favorite venues in Seattle. Our planner came up with an amazing theme of desert oasis and each area in this space was a different type of desert.

Guests are shuttled to each of the venues on the route. They walked in to the “Palm Springs desert”, which is the new lobby and main entrance. A tropical, swanky vibe with a live duo band, cocktails and vendors to chat with.

Walking into the gallery room you were met with a “Boho Desert”. Lots of eclectic pots with succulents and cactus, a sand runner on the long live wood table, muted colors and retro lounge areas. This room was filled great vendors like stationary, cake and desserts (and the most adorable cookies), as well as us!!!

There is the coolest little room that connects to the Lounge area that has a wall of funky mirrors. This is where the gorgeous dresses were displayed as well as a local hotel vendor. The lounge area was set up as the “Moroccan Desert”. In the middle of the room was another long table this time with warmer tones of blue and wood with brass.

The final room was the ballroom. This was the “Arid Desert”. This was the fun room with the photo booth, ice cream cart and the DJ setting the vibe.

They have an amazing rooftop that you can set up your ceremony and that’s just what we did. Arch with macrame, a cow skull, candles and funky seating of different styles of chairs.

Once everything was set up and ready to go, we had three beautiful models in crazy gorgeous dresses and set it up as a styled shoot. The pictures are just ridiculous!!!

It was so great working with all these crazy talented vendors and chatting with all the couples that came through. This was such a fantastic day!
