I don't do many open houses. There are many reasons why I don't, but when I decide to do one, it has to be good. When Megan with Prive` Events met up with me in a parking lot to give me vases back from an event we had just done together and briefly said, hey, want to do a mid-century modern open house at Fremont Foundry with me, I was intrigued. She then sent me her design board and I was in! I loved the moody vibe, and how masculine she was making the design. Then she sent me the list of fellow vendors and I knew we were going to have a great night.
CORT Party Rental has this amazing linen that Megan had used for another event with me that we were both obsessing over. So of course we grabbed it. It is the charcoal "Panama" linen...seriously, go feel that linen!!! She designed three main tables. Each so different but all with personality and fantastic details.
The first, one long, counter height 8ft wood table with black and silver bar stools. Classic gold rimmed chargers and white plates with clear bar ware, to keep it simple. But my favorite detail is their black flatware!!! So amazing! Down the table was the gray "Panama" runner. For flowers I kept it bold and simple. Dark burgundy roses and carnations (yes, carnations, they are great!) for a color block in a cement pot. The large statement piece was full of texture from different greenery like fern, a huge airplant, moody burgundy, and splash of yellow in a boat cement vase. Love the details of this table and how it came together. Can't go wrong with a hanging installation of Edison lights and fern!
The second table was our moody rose gold and candle table. Gold rimmed hurricanes with candles were surrounded by bud vases of just different greenery. Dramatic black linens with touches of rose gold in the chargers and flat ware. Funky Culver glasses from Vintage Ambiance gave that mid-century vibe. The black stoneware plates with the bubble glass salad plate gave texture to this simple table. To top it off, we placed a fern stem between the charger and plate. I love me some ferns!
The last table was a standard round but with some added height. I loved how this one turned out. A tall statement floral arrangement in the middle of the pewter linen to grab your attention. Square amber plates for this table to add a pop of color along with the burgundy napkin. This was a good one!
All around the venue were intimate lounge areas showing off the amazing pieces Vintage Ambiance has. The food was seriously so good, they had three different stations! I love this venue and was so happy to be able to participate in their open house. Thank you to all the amazing vendors that made the night so fun!
